George, who has lost a limb and successfully battled a life-threatening disease, told me when I interviewed him for Change Your Life Through Travel, his motto is to always travel with an open mind and a sense of humor. He had learned to live his life this way, too.

He recently shared a quote with me that I’d like pass on, as it reminds me to step into those challenges we might otherwise avoid:

“It should not be because something is difficult that we do not dare. If we do not dare then all things may become difficult.”
